Single White Female at Theatre Royal Glasgow

Preview: Single White Female at Theatre Royal Glasgow

“Totally gripping, emotionally charged and brilliantly performed.” — We Love Brighton

The thriller that defined a generation is heading to Hope Street. Theatre Royal Glasgow hosts the world premiere tour of Single White Female this June, starring Kym Marsh and Lisa Faulkner.

This isn’t just a 90s nostalgia trip; it is a “stylish, sleek and sinister” (Sussex Express) update for 2026. Directed by Gordon Greenberg, this brand-new adaptation by Rebecca Reid moves the action into the high-pressure world of tech start-ups and social media obsession.

The Story

Allie (Faulkner) is a recently divorced mum balancing single parenthood with a new tech business. When she rents her spare room to the seemingly perfect Hedy (Marsh), she thinks she’s found a lifeline. But as their lives intertwine, the boundaries of friendship blur into a terrifying tale of ambition and the desperate need for belonging.

  • Star Casting: Kym Marsh (Coronation Street) and Lisa Faulkner (Holby City) deliver powerhouse performances in this “wickedly entertaining” psychological battle.
  • Modern Edge: From the producers of The Girl on the Train, this production explores the dangers of the digital age and how far someone will go to “keep a family together.”
  • A Visceral Experience: With a 2-hour and 10-minute runtime, expect a production that “shocks and captivates” right up until the final curtain.

Age Guidance: 15+. Please note this production contains depictions of violence, online bullying, and scenes of a sexual nature, alongside flashing lights and loud music.
