Horrible Histories: The Concert – Royal Festival Hall | Review
By Mary Beer / February 19, 2026
The show is meaty enough to feel substantial but never drags. With a decent interval, I felt refreshed and ready for more in the second act, but not overly challenged. At a tight two hours (including interval), parents of children below 6 might want to check if their younger children have the attention span to enjoy it if they haven’t been to live theatre before, but its format is relaxed to an extent that no one would “shush” them if they wiggled or chatted. The recommended age is 5+, and I think that’s about right, but I wouldn’t push it below a well-slept five-year-old. It was joyous that my now teenagers smiled as broadly as they did when they were aged seven at their first exposure to a live Horrible Histories performance.
